I have a tiny obsession with dish cloth sets. There is just something about changing up the towel and washcloths that makes me feel like I’ve given my kitchen a mini makeover. Every time I find myself in the kitchen isle I am instantly drawn to those matching sets. I like to switch it up with the seasons and even bust out the holiday coordinates. After years of buying countless sets I decided to start making my own.

There are a lot of really great cotton yarns out there but when I am making washcloths i actually prefer many of the craft store brands the best.   I really like Hobby Lobbys – I Love this Cotton yarn. There are a ton of colors to choose from and many of the colors coordinate.

For this set I chose Spunky Print for the dishcloth – it’s a neutral shade with splashes of color including Coral for a little pop of color.  I also chose this color combination because i really wanted to find a way to incorporate Pantone Color of the year Living Coral into my Kitchen (or as close to it as I could find). It’a lively color that can brighten up even the most neutral of kitchens.  If you want to see more patterns using this color you can check out the post I wrote here..

These sets are a quick knit that look stylish and work great.
I literally stockpile these for housewarming gifts and holidays.

Notes:
– The *Yo, Sl1, Yo* portion of the pattern refers to bringing the yarn to the front of the work, slip next stitch purl wise, take the yarn to the back of the work.
