Like many others, my story of needles and hooks began with my mother. I have incredibly fond memories of being huddled on the couch together – her making some beautiful blanket or scarf – and me just churning out granny square after granny square. It was always ‘our thing’ since none of my other siblings had any desire to learn.
In October of 2014, after doing a few festivals and drowning my family and friends in gifted knits, I decided to open an Etsy shop – j.faze. My shop is my first love- I have learned so much and met some incredible people.
Then…
A few years ago my Mom opened a yarn shop (cue the cartwheels!). I realized as much as i loved creating finished pieces for others, I suddenly wanted to make things from all these new and wonderful yarns. While there are so many incredible patterns out there I could never seem to find exactly what I wanted for myself. I was looking for trendy patterns of things i could use or wear every day. So I began creating my own. I started of knitting as a place to share these patterns for anyone else looking for the same thing. I sprinkle in some tips and tricks along the way and even some hard lessons learned.
Most of my knitting is done from my little a-frame in central Pennsylvania where i live with my boyfriend and our dog. ♥
