I have a favorite coffee mug.  I’m sure a lot of people do. It’s cream and is dotted with  this cool shade of teal that I always seem to be attracted to. It’s the cup I grab anytime it’s actually clean. It feels like a good friend greeting me in the morning.

Knit cozies are a fun accessory for your morning cup.  Whether it’s to protect your hands, or dress up an otherwise boring cup, I’ve always loved the look of them.  This easy pattern is a great stash buster and and even better gift.

I used some leftover Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice yarn for this project. It’s a really affordable, easy to care for yarn and comes in soo many colors.  Any worsted weight yarn you have in your stash will work just as well.

This knit mug cozy and coaster pattern is an easy quick knit project that comes in two sizes – because let’s face it – sometimes 8oz of coffee (or tea!) just isn’t enough.
